About me

I am a Minneapolis-based artist who creates paintings that celebrate the beauty of everyday places and meaningful moments. Whether I’m capturing a wedding scene live, sketching guests at a welcome event, or painting a quiet landscape, my work is rooted in the belief that art should be accessible, not only in how it’s made, but in what it captures. You don’t need to travel far to find inspiration; beauty is already around us, waiting to be seen.

Much of my inspiration comes from being outside, sketching on location, and observing light and movement in real time. I see painting as an ongoing practice that anyone can grow in through patience and persistence. My work reflects that philosophy of being intentional, approachable, and full of curiosity.

As a live wedding and event painter based in the Twin Cities, I create custom artwork for weddings, receptions, welcome parties, and special events throughout Minnesota and beyond. From live ceremony paintings to guest illustrations and on-site event sketching, my goal is to create meaningful artwork that helps people remember not just how an event looked, but how it felt to be there.

 FAQs - Live Event Painting

  • Live painting is when I create a painting in real-time during your event. I paint for weddings, corporate events, and other special occasions. Guests get to watch the artwork come to life, adding a unique, interactive element to the day.

  • I typically paint a scene from the event, such as the first dance, the ceremony, or a view of the venue. I also offer guest illustrations as one of my services. We’ll decide together what you’d like captured.

  • I usually arrive 1–2 hours before guests and paint throughout the event (typically 4–8 hours). The painting is often 80–90% complete by the end of the event and finished in-studio after.

    I allow 12 weeks to finish the painting, however sometimes the painting may be complete in as little as 4 weeks.

  • Yes! I'm based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, but I happily travel for events. Travel fees may apply for locations outside a certain radius.

  • Absolutely! Part of the fun of live painting is chatting with curious guests. I love sharing the process and making it a memorable experience for everyone.

  • At this time, I offer classes in person through the Lakeville Area Arts Center located south of the Twin Cities.

    • Gouache Painting (November 4, 11, 18 | 6-8:30pm)

  • I paint with professional-grade gouache, acrylic, and watercolors on archival-quality surfaces. A list of my most commonly used supplies can be found on my Amazon Affiliate storefront page.
